Nagelsmann was sacked at the Allianz Arena despite leading Bayern to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Former PSG and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is set to be appointed to replace him.
But what about Nagelsmann? Fans on social media, especially Tottenham fans, are convinced that a move to the Premier League is possible.
Spurs fans believe Nagelsmann is the perfect coach to replace Antonio Conte, who is in danger of being sacked after his sensational comments following the draw against Southampton.
One Twitter user wrote: “Nagelsmann is almost perfect for Spurs. Nagelsmann brought RB Leipzig to the Champions League semi-finals at the age of 33, completely transforming Hoffenheim in just one season, helping them play exciting modern football. taste and continuously take advantage of the best.”
Another added: “I think it’s fair to say that Julian Nagelsmann is a coach that Tottenham fans will be very happy and excited about.”
A third commented: “I don’t think any Spurs fan in the world doesn’t like Julian Nagelsmann. He’s going to have everyone’s support.” Another commented: “Nagelsmann to Spurs would be perfect in every possible sense.” Former Spurs player Jamie O’Hara tweeted: “Nagelsmann sacked by Bayern, Spurs should call him straight.”
Nagelsmann has yet to work outside of Germany, but has previously admitted that it is “conceivable” to work in the Premier League.
