Xavi Simons is one of the bright young talents of the Netherlands. The 20-year-old player spent the early years of his career at Barcelona, before joining Paris Saint-Germain.
However, only when he returned to his hometown and played for PSV did this midfielder truly shine. Last season, Simons scored 22 goals and contributed 12 assists after 48 appearances in all competitions.

Simons has risen strongly.
That impressive performance caused PSG to quickly activate the buyback clause for the Tulip star. But now, Simons has been transferred to RB Leipzig on loan and has had an impressive start with 7 contributions to goals in 7 matches in the Bundesliga.
Notably in the summer transfer window, Man Utd as well as Arsenal each targeted Simons, but for different reasons they missed this bright target. And in the upcoming transfer periods, the two clubs will have to spend large sums of money to own the Dutch star according to journalist Christian Falk.
“Xavi Simons has increased his value at Leipzig from 40-70 million euros. Just over a year ago, he was worth just 8 million euros!
“This shows how well Xavi is developing in Leipzig. The German club really wants to work with Simons for at least another year.
Development is a good argument for this, but after a strong performance, PSG also expressed interest in bringing Simons back.
