The Manchester team are trying to recruit Marcus Thuram, as he is about to expire his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach.
The contract of the 25-year-old French striker with Mochengladbach will expire in June 2023. Therefore, from this point on, Marcus Thuram is free to negotiate with clubs outside Germany.
Coach Ten Hag highly appreciates the ability of the French player, who is versatile, so he can take on many positions in the attack.

Marcus Thuram determined to leave Mochengladbach next summer, so he refused to extend it. He wants to receive a salary of 120,000 pounds a week at the new team.
MU is negotiating with Thuram’s representative to agree on a contract fee, before officially bringing him to Old Trafford for free next summer.
As for this winter transfer period, MU is limited in budget, so it only considers the option of borrowing players.
Two names that are in the sights of the Red Devils are Memphis Depay and Vincent Aboubakar.
Previously, Ten Hag repeatedly emphasized that he needed a new striker for MU to continue to revive. The win over Wolves was their third consecutive win in the Premier League.
The Dutch leader admitted: “Winter transfers are always difficult. Buying strikers is really expensive. However, we have to set a high limit.
United are looking for a striker and are doing everything in their power to get the right player.”
