Neymar could leave PSG this summer. The 31-year-old is considered no longer part of PSG’s plans. At that time, Old Trafford may be the next destination of the former Barcelona star.
Coach Erik ten Hag did not rule out the possibility of signing Neymar. That shows that Man United is completely capable of bringing in the Brazilian, especially when PSG no longer wants to keep this player in the summer of 2023.

The blockbuster contracts in the last 10 years of Man Utd.
And if a move comes to fruition, then Neymar will become Man Utd’s next blockbuster signing. Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, the Old Trafford team has not hesitated to bring in expensive signatures.
After a bad season under David Moyes, the Red Devils played big when they broke the safe to recruit Di Maria from Real Madrid. The Argentine player spent a fee of nearly 60 million pounds. At first, Di Maria brings excitement, but after that, he is just a shadow of himself.
Amid growing discord with Louis van Gaal, the winger moved to PSG after just 12 months of fighting in the Premier League. The same summer Di Maria arrived at Old Trafford, Man Utd also asked to borrow Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco.
The Colombian international was considered one of the best strikers in world football at the time. He was dubbed the “Tiger”, and continuously shone in the colors of Porto, Atletico Madrid and Monaco respectively.
However, Falcao also left a huge disappointment. Bastian Schweinsteiger, who won every major trophy with Bayern Munich as well as the 2014 World Cup with Germany, is the next big name to join Man Utd.

Neymar is a risky deal.
But the midfielder was past his prime and after just 18 months he was kicked out of Old Trafford by Jose Mourinho. Consecutive deals failed to stop Man Utd from signing Paul Pogba in 2016 for a world record fee of £89m.
Pogba impressed when helping the Reds win the League Cup and Europa League in Mourinho’s first year on the bench. However, the French international also clashed with Mourinho and just left Man Utd in the summer of 2022 as a free agent.
Back in 2021, Man Utd signed arguably the biggest contract in years. After 12 years apart, Ronaldo is finally back home. But then CR7 lost its place under Erik ten Hag and was terminated by the Red Devils.
At this point, Neymar is clearly an attractive target. On his most sublime day, the PSG star can be unstoppable. But the above lessons show that Neymar is likely to be a very risky deal for Man Utd.
Neymar’s transfer fee is quite expensive and the salary will not be low. Not to mention, Neymar often gets injured. With an environment as physically demanding as the Premier League, Neymar could become another bomb at Old Trafford.
