In the opinion of Stan Collymore, Mason Mount is not worth £85 million, and with the exception of Manchester United, neither Arsenal nor Liverpool are willing to meet this fee. The former England player commented:
“If Chelsea’s £85m valuation of Mason Mount according to media reports is serious, if a club is interested in Mount, I certainly wouldn’t be interested.”
“If he actually leaves Chelsea with that money, obviously, of the clubs that could sign Mount, Manchester United would be a good candidate because I don’t think Liverpool and Arsenal will pay that high, when you both have other goals.”

Mount’s future is undetermined.
“But from my point of view, Mount doesn’t have that price, especially since he only has a year left on his contract.”
“For £85m, it’s not a deal I would pursue. I think somewhere around £40m – £50m, potentially with additional terms related to achievement, would be a more realistic number for Mount.”
