Roma has only won one match since the beginning of the season. Against Torino, Roma led 1-0, but Duvan Zapata equalized.
Coach Mourinho and his team are currently ranked 13th on the Serie A rankings, with Inter Milan leading. Because of a poor start to the season, Mourinho’s team is currently 10 points behind their opponents.
Coach Mourinho was not satisfied with the home team’s pitch.
After the draw, Mourinho said: “Why didn’t we win? Because we conceded a goal from a dead ball. Playing against Torino is very difficult, as is playing against all teams with this style.
They have very good performances based on their physical fitness and activity intensity. It was a difficult game to play and in my opinion we did well. Creating chances against them is very difficult, and so is scoring first.
And let’s just say that I will no longer criticize the Olimpico stadium in Rome, because it’s a stadium that when compared (to Torino’s) it’s like a catwalk.”
