Roma is said to be considering it made an offer in January to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea. The Serie A team is in need of reinforcement in the central defender position when Chris Smalling, Diego Llorente and Marash Kumbulla are all absent due to injury.
Chelsea is reported to be ready to sell Chalobah in the winter market because he has no place in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans. The Chelsea academy graduate was also eager to leave and almost joined Bayern Munich in the summer, but the deal fell through.

Chalobah is not in the Blues’ plans right now.
According to the Italian newspaper, Chalobah is not the only defender that Roma has their eye on. The Serie A club could help reunite Jose Mourinho with Tottenham’s Eric Dier, who has not made a single appearance for Ange Postecoglou’s side this season.
Red Bull Salzburg’s Oumar Solet is also on the Giallorossi’s radar, while veteran midfielder Jerome Boateng is also considered an option after Bayern rejected a contract agreement to reunite him.
