Manchester United have now opened talks with Chelsea over a potential transfer for Mason Mount. The England international is entering the final 12 months of his current contract at Stamford Bridge as negotiations over an extension have so far been unsuccessful.
People close to Mount revealed money was not the reason why negotiations between him and Chelsea were deadlocked. Instead, the player desires stability and a clear role in the team. United are unwilling to submit an offer higher than £55m because of a limited summer budget, and Chelsea demand a fee of around £75m.

Mount appeared at Barca to attend the event.
In the context of being targeted by the Red Devils, the player born in 1999 has just made a move to attract attention. Quote from Football.london, Mount has now been spotted in Barcelona for this weekend’s Grand Prix event. The Chelsea star was joined by team-mate Ben Chilwell and friends.
