According to The Athletic, Chelsea sent an offer to exchange two stars to AC Milan to get the signature of Rafael Leao in the summer of 2022. Leao landed at San Siro in 2019. Since then, the Portuguese striker Portugal thrived under coach Stefano Pioli.
In the 2021/2022 season, Leao played explosively on the journey of AC Milan to win Serie A. After 159 matches, Leao contributed 40 goals and 34 assists. Leao was also voted the best player in the Italian league 2021/2022.
