According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have jumped into the race to recruit striker Mehdi Taremi. The Iranian striker made a strong impression on the experts when he wore the FC Porto shirt.
Milan will face two serious competitors in the Mehdi Taremi deal, Arsenal and Man United. Coach Erik ten Hag needs to add some class 9s this summer. A series of faces have been linked to the Red Devils in recent times such as Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani, Rasmus Hojlund.
The limited transfer budget became a big barrier that made Man United difficult in deals like Kane, Osimhen…. In that context, Taremi emerged as the ideal target for the Old Trafford team.
On the side of AC Milan, the San Siro team considers Taremi a long-term replacement for Olivier Giroud’s position. The transfer fee of the Iranian striker is about 18 million pounds. Last season, Taremi owned 22 goals in 33 matches in the Portuguese league.
At the age of 30, Taremi is likened by experts to the “late blooming flower” of the football world. Milan must make a quick decision if they don’t want to lose Taremi to other opponents.
