Folarin Balogun has finally joined Ligue 1 side AS Monaco on a permanent transfer.
Reporter Fabrizio Romano confirmed: “Folarin Balogun joined AS Monaco with an agreement exceeding 40 million euros. Accordingly, 30 million euros plus significant additional terms.
Arsenal also set a clause on the future transfer of Balogun. This is always an important point in the negotiation. Arsenal will receive 20% less of Balogun’s proceeds in the future.”

Balogun was sold off by Arsenal.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent campaign in Ligue 1 while on loan with Reims. However, Balogun does not want to return to Arsenal when the official position is not guaranteed.
Most recently, coach Mikel Arteta said: “Now We have no more space for Balogun in the team to be able to provide him with the minutes he needs.
Balogun did very well last year during his loan spell. He has developed in the right direction and wants the opportunity to continue developing his career.
He’s going to a great club that has as much experience in developing young talent as everyone knows, so I’m really happy for Balogun too.”
