Antonio believes Bowen has the qualities to succeed Salah, who has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Liverpool rejected a £150m bid for Salah from SPL club Al-Ittihad earlier this summer but could still lose the Egypt international next year. As a result, Liverpool are said to have been linked with a series of wingers, mainly left-footed.
Liverpool is trying to prepare for the day Salah leaves.
Antonio believes that Bowen will replace Salah at Anfield in the future: “He [Bowen] Has quality, is left-footed, plays on the right wing like Salah should he might be like a perfect replacementbut it won’t be easy to take him away.”
Bowen has established himself as a reliable player on the pitch for West Ham since joining the Premier League club from Hull City in 2020. This season, he has scored six goals in nine Premier League games, equaling achievements of the entire previous season. Salah has scored 7 goals in the same number of matches for Liverpool.
