‘Man Utd will not beat Man City. Let’s get it straight’

Erik ten Hag’s side have been on a great run in recent weeks. They won their last 6 matches in all competitions – and kept 4 clean sheets in a row.

Currently, Man Utd are just one point behind Premier League champions Pep Guardiola – who have won four of the last five Premier League titles – although Man City have played two fewer games.

The two teams have met once this season and City won the derby 6-3 at the Etihad. Man City also won the last 3 Manchester derbies, scoring 12 goals and conceding only 4 goals.

'Man Utd will not beat Man City. Let's say it straight' - Football

Man Utd lost to Man City at the beginning of the season.

Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy commented: “Man Utd will not beat Man City. Let’s get that straight. They have no chance. But one thing that is clear at Man Utd United is resilience. They looked like they were playing football because of the head coach.

They have a physical background and desire that we haven’t seen in a long time. The quality is there and they have top players.

But in the end, compared to Man City, and even Arsenal at the moment, not many Man Utd players come close to the Man City squad. Be honest.”
