Earlier this season, Man Utd caused a big surprise when they spent about 43 million pounds to bring in Andre Onana, who just joined Inter Milan in the Champions League Final.
Even though he is an old player of Ten Hag, he cannot cover up the weaknesses of this goalkeeper in recent times. He can completely be replaced at the end of the season because he keeps making silly mistakes.
According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Man Utd has contacted Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin. The Ukrainian goalkeeper has kept 8 clean sheets this season (according to transfermarkt) and is clearly highly rated. However, his agent, Maryna Andriienko, does not want to add fuel to the fire.
“Let’s wait until the summer, Trubin can go there (Premier League) with more invitations,” she said.
“Manchester United? I won’t talk about it, it will be a secret, keep it a secret,” Andriienko added.
One obstacle to any deal being done appears to be Trubin’s release clause, which SportWitness revealed to be around €100m.
