During the press conference before the friendly match between Brazil and Morocco, Casemiro confirmed he will wear the Selecao captain’s armband to replace Thiago Silva. The 31-year-old midfielder made his debut for the national team in 2011. Casemiro made a total of 69 appearances in the yellow and green shirt, winning the Copa America 2019.

Casemiro is the new captain of Brazil.
