Chelsea and Manchester United will look to add squad depth in January or next summer’s transfer window after a slow start to the 2023/24 season. One player that Man Utd and Chelsea have shown interest in is Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries.
However, any attempt to sign Dumfries could be blocked by Inter as the Serie A club demands a lucrative price in the transfer market. According to CalcioMercato, Inter have set an asking price of £43 million (50 million euros) for the 27-year-old full-back.

Inter shouted the selling price of Dumfries on the market.
Dumfries currently has two years left on his contract at the club, but the Italian team hopes to convince the Dutch player to sign a new deal. Both Man Utd and Chelsea suffered setbacks in their pursuit of Dumfries in the summer, when the full-back confirmed that he would stay in Italy.
After 109 appearances at Inter, the Dutch player scored 9 goals and 18 assists. That achievement helped him become one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe.
