Sport Mediaset, citing sources from FC Inter News said Man Utd had a meeting with goalkeeper Andre Onana’s agent on Monday morning to discuss the final details of the contract.
During that negotiation, the Red Devils offered a salary of nearly 7 million euros, with bonuses, for a five-year contract with Onana. This offer is considered attractive and opens up a great opportunity for the Inter Milan goalkeeper to land at Old Trafford.
The remaining problem is that Man Utd needs to reach an agreement with Inter Milan on the transfer fee. An “official offer” is expected to be made and it is close to the €60 million mark demanded by the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Dean Henderson is likely to leave Man Utd. The English goalkeeper is in talks to join Nottingham Forest. Man Utd want to earn at least £ 25 million from this deal. Thus, contrary to initial opinion, if an agreement is reached with Onana, he will be Man Utd’s No. 1 goalkeeper next season.
