Since the World Cup, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has gradually matured and is an important part of Erik ten Hag’s plan. Wan-Bissaka has created real competition for Diogo Dalot, who has played at left-back in recent games amid the Reds’ injury crisis in defence.
However, United continue to search for a new right-back and have been linked with Vanderson again as last summer. French news agency RMC says AS Monaco is preparing for the departure of several star players, as the Ligue 1 giants are likely to miss out on Champions League spots.
RMC reported: “In defence, the big English teams are watching Vanderson. In case he leaves, Man United ready to welcome the Brazilian player.“
Vanderson has made 34 appearances for Monaco in all competitions this season, scoring once and providing four assists. The 21-year-old excels at the ball and is a big threat in attack. He is often compared to the legendary Brazilian right-back, Cafu.
