The former Everton, Manchester United and Inter Milan striker spoke about his decision to move to Roma. The Belgian said he is ready and eager to join his new club.
Lukaku spent last season on loan at Inter Milan and wanted to stay at the club this summer, but the deal fell through. Juventus also tried to sign him but could not reach an agreement with Chelsea.
The Belgian said: “The welcome I have received from this club and its fans has excited me and motivated me to give my all for my new team.”

Lukaku worked with Mourinho twice.
“As a competitor, I felt the atmosphere of the Stadio Olimpico and felt the warmth of the Romanisti. It’s nice to know I’m part of them today. I recently had the opportunity to speak with the bosses and I was impressed by their ambition.”
“Now we have to work, be humble and grow with each match. For my part, I can’t wait to serve my teammates both on and off the field.”
