Juventus scored a goal with just three shots on target on Sunday, enough for a 1-0 win over Fiorentina at Stadio Franchi.
Wojciech Szczesny told Sky Sport Italia after the match:
“We are happy for the victory, but it is too early to look at the rankings. We are doing well and bringing in some favorable results. We won tough games in Milan and Florence.”
The Bianconeri are currently only 2 points behind top team Inter and 5 points ahead of Atalanta, the team ranked 5th in the rankings. Szczesny seemed to be in a good mood after Juventus’ victory in Florence.
“Hopefully we won’t get 10 points deducted like last seasonthat’s a step forward,” he said, smiling.

Szczesny was happy when the home team won all 3 points.
“We are in a better position than last season, but to be honest, I don’t even know how many points we have. We have to go step by step and prepare for the next match against Cagliari.
Team unity is very important. We had difficult moments tonight, for about 89 minutes, but we are happy because it is never easy to win in Florence.”
Juventus have two consecutive Serie A matches coming up, the first against Cagliari next Saturday and the second against Inter on November 26, immediately after the FIFA Days break in November.
Szczesny joined Juventus from Arsenal with a contract worth 18 million euros in 2017 and has played 226 matches for the Old Lady. He has kept 7 clean sheets in 9 matches in Serie A this season, conceding 5 times.
