According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has called back young talent Fabio Carvalho after spending time on loan with RB Leipzig. This season, the Portuguese star did not have much time to play at the German team.
Carvalho will not play for Liverpool in the remainder of the season. Instead, the 21-year-old young talent is likely to join a new stop on loan to gain more battle experience.
The Kop sees Carvalho as part of the future development plan. According to Romano, Several Championship teams want Carvalho’s servicesincluding Southampton, Leicester City.
Going back in time, Carvalho landed in Liverpool from Fulham in 2022. The 7.7 million pound signature received great expectations but could not compete for a starting spot in Liverpool’s first team.
Against that background, Carvalho landed in Leipzig in the summer of 2023. Unfortunately, the Portuguese star only had a mere 360 minutes of playing time, including 15 appearances and 3 main matches for Leipzig.
Carvalho can play prominently as an attacking midfielder or winger. The Portuguese U21 international needs to play regularly to hone his talent and gain experience before being able to join Liverpool’s first team.
