Lingard once shone when he arrived at West Ham on loan in the second phase of the 2020/21 season. He scored 9 goals in 16 appearances for the London team. In the summer of 2021, MU refused to sell Lingard to West Ham.
Lingard’s position went downhill after a reserve season at MU. As a result, there were no big clubs interested in midfielders in 1992. Instead, Lingard joined Nottingham Forest because there was no better option.
