According to a poll from the famous Forbes magazine, basketball legend LeBron James topped the list of the highest paid NBA players for the 9th consecutive year. He is nearly $30 million more than Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry in second place on this list.
Basketball legend LeBron James is still the highest-earning player in the NBA
James will earn about $44 million from the Los Angeles Lakers this season to close his $85.6 million deal. He signed a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension to stay with the Lakers through the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Forbes estimates that James will pull in about $80 million from other revenues this year, bringing his total to $124.5 million. Besides, the American legend has some investments that Forbes cannot update.

For example, James’ SpringHill entertainment company was valued at $725 million last year. He has a number of other big investments, including with the Pickleball football team, sports nutrition company Ladder, Canyon Bicycles and more. James also has stakes in the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC.
LeBron James is one of only 10 active athletes to reach the $100 million milestone in pre-tax earnings in just one year, and one of only five to do so in team sport, along with Dak. Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys with soccer stars Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
