Tough moments often create stronger personalities in a team, and this was certainly the case for Barcelona after they lost to Real Madrid last week.
After the match, Ilkay Gundogan, fresh from winning the treble last season, spoke frankly about the problems he saw with the team and criticized the attitude of many individuals.
Gavi played very well against Real even though Barca lost.
Gundogan’s comments show that he is nothing more than a leader. But according to SPORT, Gundogan was not the only player to speak out about the team’s shortcomings after the match.
Gavi, only 19 years old, also criticized the team’s attitude, stating after the match: “The match is decided by the details. The first goal makes the difference. We cannot react too slowly slow in those situations. Then we fell apart.”
Even though he is young, Gavi has previously proven that he is a leader on the field and could become Barcelona’s captain one day.
