Barcelona and La Liga have been tense since Joan Laporta took over as club president. The tournament president, Javier Tebas, did not hesitate to use public insults against the Catalan giants.
Tebas has even vowed to do everything in his power to prevent Barcelona from signing the rookie in the summer. In fact, La Liga soon introduced a completely new regulation and made Gavi no longer a player of the first team.
Both Tebas and Laporta are constantly criticizing each other, but things are said to be going in a negative direction.
Most recently, Tebas asserted: “Laporta should be removed from his position at Barcelona by the President of the Spanish Federation (RFEF).”
Meanwhile, Laporta said: “Some people have warned us that Tebas seems to be carrying out a campaign against Barca and against me.
During his career, he has shown hatred towards Barca. Back in 2005, he didn’t want Lionel Messi to play for Barca either.”
