Last week, Jurgen Klopp announced his farewell to Liverpool at the end of the season, ending 9 years at Anfield. He has been linked with Barcelona, but Klopp announced that he will take a year-long sabbatical before considering a return.
Toni Kroos shared that he greatly values Klopp, and noted that the head coach at Anfield is a legend in Liverpool, England and Germany. Kroos expressed, quoted from Marca.
“Congratulations to any team that can sign Klopp now. He deserves to make this decision himself. He is a very intelligent man who recognizes the right moments and times.”
As German football fans, we can only hope that At some point, Klopp could be persuaded to take on any role in the German team. This is something we have wanted for many years.”
Klopp has been on Real Madrid’s radar for the past two years, but unless Carlo Ancelotti leaves before next summer, this deal seems unlikely to materialize. Kroos turns 35 next year, so he may not be able to work under Klopp.
The logical path is for the former Bayern Munich star to return to the German national team and then Klopp to lead Die Mannschaft.
