The Sun said that 18-year-old young star Kobbie Mainoo enjoys a skyrocketing salary at MU, from £10,000/week to £20,000/week without needing to sign a new contract.
Determining that Mainoo is a special talent that can be relied upon in both the present and the future, MU quickly sought to tie up this player long-term.
According to experts transfer Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have inserted a clause into Kobbie Mainoo’s current deal to extend Mainoo until 2027, with an option for a further 12 months.
The Sun now adds that, in the contract to retain Kobbie Mainoo, MU includes a gradually increasing salary for players coming out of the club’s academy, including a salary that will skyrocket to £20,000/week, after reaching the milestone of 10 appearances for the first team.
Mainoo has now made 13 appearances in all competitions this season in Erik ten Hag’s MU squad, including 8 times in the Premier League. Young stars officially received this salary from last January.
In addition to his skyrocketing salary, Kobbie Mainoo will also receive significant additional compensation every time he is chosen by Erik ten Hag to be in the starting lineup, appear on the field or win with MU.
Not only that, Kobbie Mainoo’s salary will continue to increase dramatically if he is regularly present in the MU first team.
In last night’s match, Kobbie Mainoo ‘saved’ MU (won 4-3) in the 90+7 minute after Wolves equalized 3-3 2 minutes earlier. This player said after the match, he felt lightheaded and still thought he was in a dream because he was given the starting role by Erik ten Hag, had the ‘opening’ goal in the Premier League and helped the home team win in a dramatic away game.
