As Barcelona target a replacement for Sergio Busquets in the summer, one of the top names on the list is Joshua Kimmich. However, Bayern Munich are absolutely not interested in selling their star midfielder, and the Catalan team’s financial difficulties also make the deal difficult to happen.
However, the door for Barca to recruit Kimmich is likely to happen next summer. According to Sport1, Kimmich is not ready to sign a new contract with Bayern. This means that his current contract will expire in 2025, so the Bundesliga champions can soon sell Kimmich to avoid losing all players on a free transfer.
