Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Turin club had 3 ways to deal with Pogba’s case. First, the two sides still adhere to the 4-year contract signed in the summer of 2022. Juventus expects Pogba to regain his form in the 2023/24 season.
In the second solution, Juventus will ask Pogba to reduce his salary. The French midfielder is said to be receiving more than 8 million euros per season, in the group of high-paid players at the Turin club but has only played 35 minutes since the beginning of this season.
The last case is also the most drastic, Juventus considers canceling the 4-year contract that Pogba signed in July 2022. The French midfielder has the right to search for a new team next summer. Of course, this case may mean Juventus will have to compensate a lot for Pogba.
On March 12, Pogba was not on the list of matches against Sampdoria of Juventus in round 26 of Serie A. Goal revealed the midfielder in 1993 suffered a muscle injury when taking a free kick on the training ground. According to Italian media, the former MU star may have to take an extra 20-30 days off. Coach Max Allegri also made an appointment to meet the player born in 1993 after the EURO qualifying series ended in early April.
On March 13, Pogba apologized to fans at Juventus’ medical center. “Sorry, I was too careless,” the former MU star said. Previously, the French midfielder made Juventus fans angry by sharing photos of skiing even though he had not yet recovered from his injury. It also comes at a time when teammates are straining to play on many fronts.
Injuries have been Pogba’s obsession in recent years. He has been absent for more than 297 days (34 matches) since returning to Juventus in the summer of 2022. In 6 years playing for MU, Pogba also missed about 100 matches due to injury.
