Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma has won tickets to the Europa League quarter-finals after overcoming Real Sociedad with a total score of 2-0 after 2 matches.
In the 8th round of the strongest teams, they can face 1 of 7 other opponents including Manchester United, Juventus, Sevilla, Sporting CP, Feyenoord, Bayer Leverkusen and Union SG.
Notably, in the opinion of coach Jose Mourinho, clubs that are eliminated from the Champions League such as Juventus, Sevilla or Sporting CP should not participate in the Europa League.
Mourinho is not satisfied with the current form of the Europa League.
Specifically, the captain of AS Roma expressed: “We have eliminated two quite strong opponents, RB Salzburg and Real Sociedad. Now, we are in the quarter-finals and there are many stronger clubs here, because there, let’s wait and see.
