The Rossoneri and the Partenopei will meet in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. During a press conference in Milanello shortly after, Pioli said: “We were training when the draw took place. Any team would be a very difficult, complex, stimulating and motivating opponent. I’m here on my own merits and we want to move on.”
The Rossoneri lost 2-1 to Napoli at the San Siro in their last meeting in September and are now 20 points behind Serie A leaders. However, Pioli is not worried: “We are in the quarter-finals, we are Milan and we want to continue. Napoli are very strong, they are doing better than us in the league, but the Champions League is the Champions League and Milan is Milan.”

Pioli was confident when he met Napoli.
Pioli was also asked if he had received a text from his colleague Spalletti: “I don’t think he will text me. I have a great relationship with him, I think he is a coach. There is a clear difference between Serie A and the Champions League, but for now we have to focus on the league.”
