The veteran midfielder faces a turning point in his career after leaving Sevilla at the end of 2022, having been underrated despite looking to re-establish his status as a force in Spain’s top flight.
Despite the pressure, Isco has become a creative hub for Real Betis in recent months, leading the club to want to extend his contract after just a few months on the job.
Isco’s new contract is valid until 2027, with a release clause of 10 million euros and Isco will likely retire from football at Estadio Benito Vilamarin, if he stays on track.
His agent, Pedro Bravo, claims that there are new offers from La Liga clubs and Saudi Arabia: “Two teams in Spain and one team from outside are interested in Isco. When teams find out he now has a 10 million euro clause… A 10 million euro clause for Isco at the level he’s playing at, is a great thing.”
