Both Milan teams entered the derby with a winning record this season. AC Milan entered the game excitedly, while Inter actively defended and counter-attacked and showed sharpness with each attack.

Hope was rekindled for Milan at the beginning of the second half with Rafael Leao’s goal to shorten the score. Yet there it is honorable table in the Rossoneri’s disastrous defeat.

In the following match not long after, defending champion Napoli disappointed with a 2-2 draw at Genoa. Mattia Bani and Mateo Retegui helped the home team take a 2-goal lead. But fortunately, Napoli still had an equalizer thanks to two substitute players, Raspadori and Politano.
