Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Arsenal is very satisfied with the performance of defender Takehiro Tomiyasu and has no intention of letting him leave. In July, Inter Milan is said to want to sign Tomiyasu but Arsenal refused. Coach Mikel Arteta and Technical Director Edu Gasper both wanted to keep this defender and now they have done it.

Tomiyasu is Arsenal’s strategic rotation player.
Tomiyasu is a versatile defender. He can play both right-back and center-back positions (where he often plays for the Japanese national team). Even recently, Arteta tended to push him to play left-back in the context of Jurrien Timber’s long-term injury.
No matter the fee that Inter Milan offers, it cannot compare to the value that Tomiyasu is bringing to Arsenal right now. Unfortunately, he will be absent next January, when he returns to the team to participate in the AFC Asian Cup. This will be a huge loss for the Gunners because they will face a tight schedule during the Christmas – New Year period.
