After much speculation, David De Gea has finally officially left Old Trafford because he did not reach an agreement to extend his contract, ending 12 years with Manchester United. For their part, in fact, the Red Devils soon planned to replace De Gea with another quality goalkeeper, more specifically the case of Andre Onana.
As revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Onana has agreed on personal terms with Man Utd, and it is expected that the 55 million euro offer that the Red Devils are about to send will also be approved by Inter Milan. However, in football, anything can happen, so Man Utd had a backup plan available in case of losing Onana at the last minute.
According to Mirror, currently Man United is still holding talks with Feyenoord about a potential deal for Justin Bijlow, and in the event that Onana cannot land at Old Trafford, they will immediately turn to this goalkeeper. It is known that Bijlow’s fee is only about 20 million euros.
