Landing at Old Trafford through a deal worth nearly 100 million euros, it can be said that Antony has so far not proven himself worthy of what Manchester United have spent. However, in the opinion of Ian Wright, blockbuster signings but struggling in the Premier League like Antony or Darwin Nunez simply need more time to shine.
The former England striker shared:
“I think, Antony is like Darwin Nunez.”
Neither Nunez nor Antony have proven their worth.
“Coming with the transfer fee, people expect a lot from these players. We all know they are capable, but this is their first season. When you look at what Antony can do, you have to give him a little more time.”
