It wasn’t until the first leg of the Premier League ended that Man Utd’s rookie Rasmus Hojlund found his first goal. However, it was an important goal that helped the Red Devils successfully come back against Aston Villa.
Sharing about Hojlund, coach Erik Ten Hag affirmed: “I trust him.”
“Of course I know he can score goals – his goals in the Champions League showed he can, as well as what he did as a young player in Austria and Italy.”
“This goal will give him confidence that he will score more goals from now on,” added the Dutchman.
Hojlund’s difficulty in scoring goals is the direct cause of Man Utd’s decline. Before scoring 3 goals against Villa, the Red Devils’ attack only pocketed 18 goals after 18 rounds. This scoring efficiency is only better than the bottom 4 teams in the table and clearly they need to improve it in the near future.
