Paul Robinson affirmed that, because of the current difficult situation, Manchester United will not allow Raphael Varane to leave despite rumors related to the Saudi Pro League. The former English player shared:
“I can’t see that scenario because of Man United’s situation at the moment. No one ever thought, including me, that we will see Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans starting in 2023.”
Ten Hag is having difficulty in the central defender position.
“I think, Ten Hag will bring Varane back into the squad, because he has to. Varane is a quality player.”
“Again, at Man United, who makes the football decisions at the moment? Any other coach at Man United, if they experienced a series of poor results like Ten Hag, would likely no longer be on the hot seat. But, because of what’s going on off the field, Ten Hag is still there.”
“Yes, there are excuses that come from off-field problems. Last year it didn’t affect the football aspect – this year it does. The coach needs the best players to fix the problem, and Varane is one of them.”
