Playing for Nottingham Forest on loan during the 2021/22 season, James Garner has had a boom time and contributed greatly to helping this team promote to the Premier League after many years of waiting.
So, Garner admitted, he expected he would be given the chance to prove himself when he returned to Manchester United. However, things did not go according to the scenario that Garner wanted, and in the end he decided to move to Everton. The British star shared:
“When I returned to Man United, I felt I had had a good enough season to get my chance. But unfortunately I got injured on the first day, and that kept me out for two or 3 weeks. So the coach didn’t see me during training and matches.”
“It was a decision made after two seasons of playing first team football, I wanted to be part of the squad, ideally as a starter. I know I won’t achieve that at Man Unitedso I decided to move here.”
