‘I look forward to spending another five years at Man City’

After his performances at Leeds United, last summer’s transfer window, Kalvin Phillips moved to Man City in a deal worth 49 million euros.

However, contrary to expectations, the British star has encountered many difficulties since arriving at Etihad. He can’t even compete for a starting spot and has only made 11 Premier League appearances this season.

With poor performance, many speculated that coach Pep Guardiola would fill Phillips’ name on the liquidation list to seek additional funding for personnel.

However, recently, in an interview quoted by Fabrizio Romano, the British star confirmed that he would not leave Etihad.

“I look forward to spending another five years at Man City,” British star said.

“I came here to win trophies and play football, I haven’t done as much as I would like this season – before the new season I’ll be back in the best shape I can.”
