Sergio Ramos affirmed that he almost transferred to Manchester United in 2015, but in the end the deal did not go through. The Spanish defender shared:
“I decided to stick with the club I should be with, Real Madrid, but I was really close to Man United (in 2015).

Ramos had the opportunity to move to the Premier League.
“That deal didn’t happen, but I still have admiration for the Premier League club and the players who play here, because the pace of play and the pace is completely different. It’s a tournament where we can learn a lot.”
“I was happy to stay at Madrid, and now I’m also happy to play for Sevilla. This is a debt I owe to my club, the first team I played for.”
“This was a very personal decision, one made with the heart. It was the ideal time to return, and I never thought about moving elsewhere when I had the opportunity to return here .”
