Kylian Mbappe’s future is currently in doubt, as he has decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and let his contract expire next summer. Before rumors that President Emmanuel Macron will influence his decision, Mbappe insists that he and Macron are on the same page.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted the French striker.
“Macron will not affect my future. He expects me to stay at PSG and I want to stay too, so… we have the same opinion.”
Regarding the letter sent to the PSG board that he will not extend his contract until June 2025, Mbappe said:
“Honestly, I don’t think I’m going to offend anyone. I just sent a letter.”
“I didn’t know a letter could kill someone. It’s just a letter. I don’t care about the surrounding reactions.”
“Explain why I’m staying without renewing? Hey guys, I have nothing to explain.”
“People can talk, criticize… I know the reasons for what I do and what I say. Others don’t get all the information.”
