According to confirmation from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is currently planning to recruit another quality midfielder in 2024, because they have determined to sell Trevoh Chalobah permanently in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Italian journalist revealed:
“I can say that Chelsea are looking at signing a new centre-back in 2024. Because of the club’s decision – now 100% confirmed, is to sell Trevoh Chalobah in the January transfer window.”
“Chalobah wants to stay at Chelsea, he wants to play more, but right now there is no more space for him. So, Chalobah does not want to be stuck on the bench. Of course, right now Chalobah is injured, but his future lies elsewhere.”
“Chelsea will look at opportunities in the January transfer window, it depends on whether they can find the right player at the right price.”
Previously, Romano also confirmed that Bayern Munich is still paying special attention to Chalobah.
