As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal is really interested in Ivan Toney, whose minimum fee is up to 65 million pounds. However, they also plan to stick with Eddie Nketiah for a long time.
The Italian journalist said:
“Arsenal really want Nketiah to stay. They extended his contract months ago, so the idea was always to have faith in Nketiah. I don’t see any signs that he’s leaving.”
Arsenal does not want to lose Nketiah.
“Toney is really highly rated by Arsenal, and so is Chelsea, so I think the race is completely open. Currently, there are no agreements with this player or Brentford, but he is certainly highly rated.”
“We will have to see how Arsenal fare in December, it will depend on their position in the Champions League and Premier League standings. There is no guarantee that they will spend a large sum of money on Toney, as that fee should be at least £65m. So, Arsenal wants to take time to decide what they need.”
