Dean Jones admits it is hard to believe that Anthony Martial is still at Old Trafford after the summer transfer window, and that also speaks to the weakness in the current Manchester United squad. The British journalist shared:
“It’s unbelievable that he’s still playing for Manchester Unitedand not just at the club, Martial is really part of the plan.”
Martial has not left Old Trafford yet.
“This is a player who, for the last two or three years, has been waiting to leave. And now Martial is still at the club. To be honest, Martial’s presence at Man Utd is a big deal. quite important, as it speaks to the lack of depth in the squad, and at the same time Erik Ten Hag’s lack of options.”
In fact, Martial is still worth using for Man Utd at the moment, in the context that they need a quality plan to back up Rasmus Hojlund in the position of a striker. And of course, it is not easy for the Red Devils to sell Martial, as he has barely received any interest in the summer transfer window.
