Granit Xhaka plans to leave Arsenal this summer transfer window. According to multiple sources, Arsenal and Xhaka are not in talks over a new deal and the two sides plan to part ways this month.
Bayer Leverkusen is constantly negotiating to sign the Swiss midfielder. The fee falls around 15 million euros. Even personal terms have been almost agreed with the long-term contract for this player.
However, after acquiring Declan Rice, Arsenal decided to increase the price of Xhaka. Accordingly, the price the Gunners received in this deal was up to 25 million euros.
Specifically, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed: “Xhaka joins Bayer Leverkusen, here we go! The agreement was reached in May and is being signed between the clubs.
Arsenal will receive a fee of 25 million euros for Xhaka. Understand that Xhaka will sign a contract until June 2028, a five-year contract.”
Notably, Xhaka was present in Germany to conduct a medical examination. With the sale of Xhaka, Arsenal recovered a decent amount of money to make up for the record deal Declan Rice.
