Arsenal vs Brighton Goals
Brighton: Enciso (51′), Undav (86′), Estupinan (86′)
Playing at home, Arsenal is full of determination to win all 3 points to continue chasing Man City, the team that defeated Everton with a score of 3-0 just a few hours earlier.
The Gunners created quite a few chances from the first few minutes but could not beat goalkeeper Steele or go out unfortunately. The most dangerous situation they created was Leandro Trossard’s shot on the crossbar.
However, the Gunners also suffered when striker Gabriel Martinelli had to leave the field in the 20th minute due to injury and was withdrawn to replace with Trossard.
On the Brighton side, they had an impressive first half when creating a lot of opportunities to respond to the home team. In the 12th minute, Enciso finished, causing Ramsdale to have a hard time pushing the ball. In the 37th minute, it was Enciso who shot to the sky when only a few meters from the goal.
The first half ended without a goal. However, at the beginning of the second half, the away team was able to break the deadlock. In the 51st minute, Mitoma took the technical ball on the left wing before dropping the ball for Estupinan to ice down. After 2 crosses, Enciso had the opportunity to head the net Ramsdale.
Being led, Arsenal had to put more troops to attack, but their shots still lacked the necessary accuracy. Meanwhile, Brighton, despite defending, always has extremely dangerous counter-attacks.
In the 86th minute, Trossard passed the ball into the right foot of the player on the Brighton side and went to Undav’s place in an empty position. This player easily clicked the ball over Ramsdale’s head to double the lead for the visitors. And yet, Brighton also had one more goal in the 6th minute of injury time thanks to Estupinan’s strike to seal a 3-0 victory.
Losing to Brighton at home, Arsenal almost gave up the championship race when they were 4 points behind Man City and only 2 matches left. The green man only needs to win one more match to be officially crowned.
