The 37-year-old is expected to join a new club in the January transfer window after his contract with Man United was terminated. CR7 still wants to play against a top team.
However, Niculae has suggested that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could join Saudi side Al Nassr or an MLS club in the United States.
Ronaldo left MU after telling the club on television.
Speaking to Digi Sport Special, Niculae said: “The statements he made in that interview (with Piers Morgan) were decisive in his departure from Manchester United. I think he would choose Al Nassr. or to America. Then, from what I’ve read, I think he wants to get into acting and enter Hollywood.”
Ronaldo has just experienced a World Cup below expectations, was eliminated early and had to watch rival Lionel Messi lift the championship trophy.
