The incident happened while Gordon’s family was on their way to Chicago when they were detained at around 3 a.m. at LaGuardia Airport. According to many witnesses, they saw the former NBA star yell and hit his son when he was helping his father with luggage and accidentally spilled them.

Immediately the police officers at the airport ran to intervene but Gordon shouted at them and the two sides clashed. According to reports, two officers were injured during the arrest as Gordon fought off enforcement.
