Aston Villa are planning to sign a striker in 2024 and could make a surprise move in the winter market to bring Tammy Abraham back to the club.
The 26-year-old spent a season on loan from Chelsea at Villa Park. The English star played 40 matches for the Midlands giants in the Championship, scoring 26 goals and 3 assists.
Aston Villa expects to welcome another striker in 2024 and Football Insider reported Abraham is on coach Unai Emery’s transfer list. The big risk when signing a contract with the English international is that Abraham is recovering from an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament. The English striker has been sidelined since June and is not expected to return until the season. Spring 2024.
There’s still a long way to go before any official move for Abraham emerges, but Abraham’s return to Villa Park will be an interesting story to watch out for in 2024.
At this time, according to Fichajes, Roma is said to want to sell the English star for at least 52 million euros.
